Our Equipment

We make use of a unique set of custom training equipment originally developed for teaching at the University of Bristol. We can bring everything required for your chosen course, including laptops and required software, or alternatively, if you prefer, partipicants can use their own equipment with provided virtual machines.

A typical training box consists of the following:

  • - Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
  • - Human Machine Interface (HMI)
  • - IO connections for PLC
  • - Mikrotik Routerboard Hex Lite network switch
  • - 24v DC power output
As an example, a Siemens box consists of a S7-1200 PLC and KTP700 Basic HMI. We also make use of a number of PLC simulators to allow use of further industrial protocols including Modbus/TCP and IEC61850.

As well as physical and simulated industrial devices, we make use of a simulated physical process in order to allow participants to clearly see the impact of attacks on an actual process.
